Frequently asked questions
Perhaps you will find your question here. If anything remains unclear, you can call us.
What is the right thing to do immediately after a death?
Contact us right away on our 24-hour number. We will take all necessary steps immediately and discuss the next steps with you. We reliably take care of the collection and dignified initial care of the deceased, whether the death occurred at home, in hospital, in a care facility or elsewhere.
Which documents are required?
The documents required depend on the individual situation, such as marital status and nationality. With our online checklist you can find out in a few steps which documents are needed in your case. If a document is missing, we will of course be glad to help you obtain it.
How does an Islamic funeral take place?
If the family wishes, we arrange the Islamic washing (ghusl) and the kafan, the wrapping in the burial shroud. On request, a hodja (imam) leads the funeral prayer. We plan the process calmly and according to the family’s wishes.
Can the burial take place abroad?
Yes. Most of our repatriations go to Turkey, to all cities and regions, including small towns and villages. Depending on arrangement and capacity, repatriation to other countries is also possible.
How much does a repatriation cost?
The total cost depends on factors such as the destination, official fees and transport routes. A flat rate is therefore not possible. In a short conversation we work out the actual effort and promptly prepare a transparent, non-binding fixed-price quote for you.
How long does it take until the repatriation?
The formalities at the registry office (Standesamt) usually take about 1 to 3 working days. Authorities are closed at weekends and on public holidays. The consulate formalities follow. The exact date of the repatriation depends on available flights and official approvals.
Do you only carry out Islamic funerals?
We are familiar with Islamic customs and burial procedures. We also carry out repatriations abroad and burials in Germany for people of other faiths. In these cases we only handle the formal procedures, as we are not closely familiar with the rules of other religions (washing, ceremonies and the like).
Which cities in Turkey do you repatriate to?
To all cities and regions of Turkey. Thanks to our network, we have reliable partners in almost every city who receive the deceased at the airport and accompany them to the desired destination.
